What's New?
The circle of support...

Thoughtful people may wonder if the support of a local store- in any category, but let’s take, say, bike shops – has any impact on their experience outside the store. Does it matter whether you buy a blowout bike from a chain store or a well fitting, quality bike from C’ville Bike & Tri?
You bet, and here’s why: We give back more to the cycling community in the area than all the other shops combined. Without the support of C’ville Bike & Tri, cycling would be a lot smaller in this town, with fewer locations, fewer events, fewer resources for beginners and racers alike. Prove it?
OK. Here’s a list of support we’ve given in our 13 year history to local cycling groups. This isn’t even all of it:
MS 150 Primary Bike Shop Sponsor and mechanical support: 1996,1997,1998,1999,2000,2001,2002, 2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008
Organized and built (with many other individuals) initial MTB trail network at Walnut Creek Park in 1996. All meetings of the original group were held at C’ville Bike & Tri at that time.
Sponsor of Charlottesville Racing Club since inception. 2001,2002,2003,2004, 2005,2006,2007,2008
Sponsor of Charlottesville Tri Club since inception. 2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008
The Uva Mountain Bike Club, 2007,2008
Organize, assist and/or sponsor the following events:
Blue Ridge Extreme since inception 2005,2006,2007,2008
Wintergreen Ascent since inception 2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008
Virginia Cyclocross Series races in Charlottesville. Since inception 2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008
Charlottesville Triathlon Series, including the Sprint, International, and Xterra, since inception: 2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008
So if you’ve ever done any of these events, joined these clubs, or ridden the trails, you can in part thank the customers of C’ville Bike & Tri, who have supported us so we can support the greater good of cyclists in Charlottesville.
And thanks for the mention in Best of C’ville!
