CycleOps' Fluid2 Trainer with its smooth "Power Band" technology, allows for distinct resistance-level changes without reaching to a lever on the unit. The large flywheel delivers a realistic road feel. Resistance varies automatically depending on your cadence from less than 20 watts to over 725 watts, more than enough range for any cyclist and any workout.
Replaced a mag-trainer. Surprised at the difference in operational volume. It is smooth to ride and an ease to release bike from trainer. I use two bikes, a road bike and TT, both for my endurance rides. Good price point for what you get.

I bought this product at the end of summer and haven't thought twice about my decision! The trainer is very quiet and extremely smooth as you transition between gears. The resistance climbs evenly as you change speed as well. If you are like me and looking to build a little strength in the cold weather, it is really easy to gauge your progress on this machine because as you get stronger (or ride longer) you will find that you will have to switch to a harder gear to get the same workout. I use a cyclocomputer with mine to really customize workouts, but it is not a mandatory investment. The trainer is by far a great investment if you are looking to stay in shape over the cold months.

I absolutely love this trainer! It is easy to use and feels solid when your riding! I honestly wished that I had invested in this trainer sooner. Before I did alot of spin classes in the off season but this is so much better! It is so smooth and easy to switch out bikes.

Owned 1 week. Instructions should be better for non-tech people.Use your own computer to monitor HR, Speed... You should be using your computer just like using your own bike so everything seems natural when riding outside. DVD is a great motivational production but serves nothing for the trainer. There should be a DVD showing how to get the best from the trainer. It could prove to buy more accessories. [...]

System is sturdy and well-made. Quiet. Poor assembly instructions. No readouts - for wireless age shouldn't cost that much more for this feature. Tension adjusting handle doesn't stow properly for some settings. Adjustable feet for uneven surfaces feature seems not possible. Nice auto-resistance feature. Motivating video.

the weather in upstate ny is all over the place.(rain/snow)i use the trainer to fill in the blanks in outdoor training.i log 30 min rides and one hour rides depending on what im focusing on.good for sprinting sessions and maintenance rides. i use a wifi monitor for heart rate/distance/cadence/cal on the bike (i recommend).recently road outdoors havent lost a thing, and made some gains.

We've had this trainer about 3 weeks now, and I love it. My husband put it together, so I'm not sure about the lack of instructions like others have mentioned -- but he likely would've said something if it had been a huge issue.
I really enjoy using this in the morning for my a.m. cardio, and plan to use it through the winter to keep my base fitness up (along with cross-training, of course!). Very quiet and smooth, feels stable even when out of the saddle.
Only gave 4 stars simply because it'd be cool to have some sort of way to check mileage or RPMs. I may be wishing for options that are too high-tech for this price range though.

Very realistic feel. Perfect indoor trainer for the 100 degree weather we have had in Houston lately. Took 40 minutes to assemble because of poor instructions. Everything else was positive. I did not even notice the noise really. Comes with a decent Race Simulation DVD.
